SPEAKING

Task 1 (重复 2018.12.8 原题)

When visiting a museum that allows photography, some people like to take photographs of the exhibits they see. Others prefer to simply look at the exhibits and do not take photographs. Which do you prefer? Use details and examples to explain your opinion.

Task 2

Reading:

学校的 psychology department 要办毕业生系列讲座，让 graduate students 在毕业前举行公开的讲座讲讲自己的研究。

Listening: 女生 agree

原因 1：这对 graduate students 来说是一个很好的机会，可以 practice speaking in the public;

原因 2：graduate students 平常都是跟本专业的 professor 和 classmates 做 speech 交流，很少去 explain things to those who know less about the subject，这对他们来说也是一个很好的 practice;同时对 under-graduate students 来说也更能了解他们专业毕业生的工作选择，非常 helpful。

Task 3

Reading ：

一些濒危物种会对人类的保护产生依赖，一旦人类不保护了，很快就会灭绝。

Task 4

group leaders 建立 psychological safety 从而取得成员信任的两种方法：

1. Leader 可以承认他们自己也 make mistakes。举例是 leader 可以在开会的时候说他参与的一个 product doesn’t sell well，所以他决定 discontinue;这样其他员工就会觉得他们也 safe to make errors.

2. Leaders show他们value work，同时也value relationship。举例是可以组织weekly lunches 来联络感情，这样员工就会觉得 leader value 他们的感情。

Topic ：lionfish commercial fishing

Reading ：

1. 保护 coral reef ecosystems，因为那里没有 lionfish 的 predators;

2. 降低市场对 native species 的需求，帮助它们 recover;

3. lionfish 很有营养，可以让人们更健康。

Listening ：disagree

1. fishing 的时候不 selective，一些 rare species 会一起被捕起来，它们会 in danger;

2. 商人会建立 fish farms，lionfish 可能会 escape，危害到附近的 habitats;

3. lionfish 吃一些微生物，里面有毒，鱼肉累积了毒素，人吃了会得病。

Because the use of technology such as computers in classrooms for young students(age 6-12) has led to many improvements in learning, some people believe that there should be no limits on the number of hours that young students spend using technology during school day. Others believe that too much time spent using technology during school day is harmful and that their use of technology should therefore be limited to one hour or less daily. Which view do you support and why?
