It is universally evident that at the present the young population of some countries holds the dominant proportion, which causes both merits and demerits to a large extent. From my perspective, the advantages are apparently overwhelming.Admittedly, a large proportion of youngsters means the whole population are likely to be constantly increasing within a few years. As a result, the burden of medical and educational budgets would be relatively heavy for some less-developed countries. Meanwhile the nature resources in some poor areas such as Africa cannot continuously meet the needs of development. That is why some developing countries carry out birth control policy.Conversely, there are still some nonnegligible benefits thanks to the huge percentages of youngsters. It is widely acknowledged that a large group of youngsters can provide sufficient labor for the countries, which is helpful to sustainable development in the future. Compared with some developed countries with low birth rate, the regions with high percentage of youth would be less worried about the brain drain owing to the considerable population. Furthermore, aging population can be avoided to a great extent, which helps reduce the burden of the pension system to a great extent. A report said that some developed countries are encouraged to give birth for the developments for the continuous developments.All in all, it is evidently fact that the whole population will be larger thanks to the huge young groups, while overpopulation is never more harmful than aging population since youngsters brings about infinite opportunities and motivations.
